Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Five arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 246 calls for service between March 5 and March 12. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 3,363 calls for service.

Summons

Heather Cash, 37, of Bristol was issued a summons March 5 for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, on State Route 129, South Bristol, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Arrests

Sheila A. St. Cyr, 66, of Newcastle was arrested March 5 for Operating under the Influence, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Randy E. Hill, 63, of Litchfield was arrested March 6 for Driving to Endanger, on Main Street, Wiscasset, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Philip J. Peabody, 23, of Jefferson was arrested March 8 for Operating under the Influence, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

Jeremy Moon, 39, of Guilford was arrested March 9 for Operating under the Influence (Drugs or Combo), on Indian Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Dean Seiders, 46, of Waldoboro was arrested March 11 on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for Unpaid Fines, on Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Accidents

On March 5, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Kristina H. Whitney, 54, of Nobleboro and Sheila A. St. Cyr, 66, of Newcastle. Ms. Whitney was operating her 2010 Honda Accord northbound when she struck Ms. St. Cyr’s 2008 Subaru Forester, who was attempting to turn left across the northbound travel lane. Deputy Chase Bosse was the investigating officer.

On March 8, an accident occurred on Biscay Road in Damariscotta involving Susan A. Dodge, 53, of Bristol. Ms. Dodge was operating her 2014 Nissan Rogue westbound when a deer entered the roadway from the south side and struck the front driver’s corner of her vehicle. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On March 8, an accident occurred on Indian Road in Dresden involving Jeremy D. Moon, 39, of Fortville, Indiana. Mr. Moon was operating his 2014 Ford Focus northbound on Indian Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign and continued through the intersection. As a result, his vehicle struck a frozen snowbank, where it then continued into the ditch and struck several small trees. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On March 10, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Laura J. Bouchard, 34, of South Portland and Charles D. Reeves, 37, of Sanford. Ms. Bouchard was operating her 2012 Subaru Outback southbound and Mr. Reeves was operating his 2017 Freightliner truck northbound, when Ms. Bouchard lost traction on the snow covered roadway and started skidding. As a result, her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the rear tires of the trailer that Mr. Reeves was hauling. No damage was observed to Reeves’ trailer, however, Ms. Bouchard’s vehicle lost the front bumper. Sgt. Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.

On March 10, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Megan M. James, 30, of Woolwich. Ms. James was operating her 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound and due to the roadway being covered in slush, she started to slide. As a result, her vehicle went off the roadway on the right side and into a ditch. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On March 11, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Henry R. Chandler, 27, of Bowdoin. Mr. Chandler was operating his 2004 Cadillac southbound when he encountered very icy road conditions and lost control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle spun around and the rear struck a utility pole. The pole was not damaged but the vehicle sustained significant damage to the rear. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
