Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Eight arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 305 calls for service between June 11 and June 18. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,523 calls for service.

Summonses

Olivia T. Coniam, 23, of Alna was issued a summons June 11 for Domestic Violence Assault, on West Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Andrew Miner, who was assisted by Sgt. Matthew Day.

Elmer E. Warren, 49, of Dresden was issued a summons June 12 for Violation of Condition of Release, on Amy Circle, Dresden, by Det. Sgt. Ronald Rollins.

Lucia Nielsen, 22, of Hopkinton, New Hampshire was issued a Uniform Summons and Complaint for Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Accident and a Violation Summons and Complaint for Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle, on June 17 on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

John D. Dow, 34, of Nobleboro was issued a summons June 17 for Operating beyond License Restrictions/Permissions, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.

Arrests

Allen Z.W. Simmons, 29, of Alna was arrested June 11 for Domestic Violence Assault, on West Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Andrew Miner, who was assisted by Sgt. Matthew Day.

Alton Lane Jr., 19, of Wiscasset was arrested June 12 on an Androscoggin County warrant for Violation of Bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Matthew A. Plummer, 36, of Westport Island was arrested June 13 for Violating Condition of Release, on Bay Shore Road, Westport Island, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

Sally B. Ingram, 47, of Bremen was arrested June 14 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – Prior; Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention and Failure to Provide Correct Name, Address, and DOB; on Atlantic Highway, Waldoboro, by Deputy David Bellows.

Jacob J. Warman, 32, of Dresden was arrested June 15 for Violating Condition of Release and Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drug, on Cedar Grove Road, Dresden, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Scott W.  Norwood, 29, of Trevett was arrested June 16 for Violating Protective Order, on Hendricks Hill Road, Southport Island, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Maurice L. Hyson, 39, of Jefferson was arrested June 17 for Possession of Firearm by Prohibited Person, on North Clary Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.

Patricia Jacques, 50, of Alna was arrested June 17 for Operating under the Influence (No Test) and Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention and Assault, on Cross Road, Alna, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck, who was assisted by Detective Terry Michaud.  Deputy Chubbuck also issued Ms. Jacques a summons for the Augusta Police Department for Leaving the Scene of a PD Accident.

Accidents

On June 11, an accident occurred on Washington Road in Jefferson involving William B. Bourgeois, 59, of Washington. Mr. Bourgeois was operating his 2016 Ford Focus southbound when a deer crossed the road in front of him, striking the passenger side of his vehicle in the area of the front door and headlight. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On June 13, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Brandon J. Woodward, 29, of Richmond. Mr. Woodward was operating his 2004 Chevrolet Aveo northbound when he stated he fell asleep. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the left side, where the driver’s side mirror impacted a mailbox. His vehicle then crossed the roadway and left on the right side, where the front of his vehicle impacted the ditch. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On June 13, an accident occurred on Ridge Road in Newcastle involving Barbara A. Lane, 31, of Newcastle. Ms. Lane was operating her 2015 Toyota RAV4 southbound when she stated that she took her eyes off of the road for a moment, causing her vehicle to leave on the right side of the roadway and strike a stonewall. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On June 13, an accident occurred on Turner Road in Bremen involving John F. Emerson, 63, of Nobleboro. Mr. Emerson attempted to back up his 2007 GMC pickup truck when he failed to see a large tree stump in a yard. As a result, he ran over the stump, causing major damage to the undercarriage of his vehicle. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.

On June 14, an accident occurred on Goose Hill Road in Jefferson involving Wayne J. Firth, 50, of Jefferson. Mr. Firth was operating his 2019 moped westbound when he entered the eastbound ditch, over corrected and returned to the eastbound lane. He then continued across the center line, entered the westbound lane and into the westbound ditch. Upon entering the ditch, his moped rolled onto the left side. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On June 14, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Anthony G. Squillante, 64, of Boothbay. Mr. Squillante was operating his 2014 Jeep Patriot southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.

On June 14, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Richard L. Shaw, 60, of Pittston. Mr. Shaw was operating his 2018 Nissan Frontier northbound when he observed a deer enter the roadway from the westbound ditch and was struck. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On June 16, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Rebecca S. Emerson, 43, of Deer Isle. Ms. Emerson was operating her 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when a deer crossed the roadway in front of her vehicle and was struck, causing serious damage to the front. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On June 17, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Philippa M. Beal, 73, of Jefferson. Ms. Beal was operating her 2009 Toyota Camry southbound when she stated she fell asleep. As a result, her vehicle went off the road on the left side and struck a tree, and then re-entered the roadway where it came to final rest. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
