ST. GEORGE — The township of St. George invites area families to share the residents’ holiday spirit as they decorate homes, boats, businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and harbors to “Light up St. George,” spread good cheer and celebrate the holiday season.

“Though we are unable to gather together as communities this year, consider driving down the St. George peninsula on Saturday, Dec. 12, or Sunday, Dec. 13 (from 4 - 7 p.m., both days) to view our bright lights and enjoy our holiday displays,” said the St. George Community Development Corporation (CDC), in a news release.

Visitors are also invited to support the following St. George restaurants and eateries that will be open for Covid-compliant, safe-distanced eat-in dining or take-out/curbside pick-up that weekend — Ancho Honey (Sat/Sun take-out ‘til 7 p.m.) and the Quarry Tavern at the East Wind Inn (Saturday dinner, from 5 - 8 p.m.), both in Tenants Harbor; the Black Harpoon (Saturday dinner, from 4:30 - 7 p.m., dine in/take-out) and Village Ice Cream (take-out) in Port Clyde; and the Causeway Restaurant (Sat/Sun brunch & dinner service) at the Craignair Inn in Spruce Head.

Please call or email each business to verify hours, offerings and availability.
