Legion members in Camden remember veterans who served their country

Members of American Legion War Memorial Post 30 and volunteers placed flags and memorial markers May 15 on veteran graves at the Mountain View Cemetery in Camden in preparation for the Memorial Day holiday. Members and volunteers featured in the photo are Bill Kiaune, Ray Lewis, Rosey Gerry, Jim, John and Delores Hyssong, Frank Carr, Ron Vanosdol, Dave Franclemont, Gary Henry and Norman Carver.

CAMDEN – Members of American Legion War Memorial Post 30 and volunteers honored veterans May 15 by placing flags and memorial markers at the gravestones of veterans buried in Mountain View Cemetery. The annual remembrance is a long-standing tradition of Post 30.
After the flags were placed in Camden, some of the Legion members continued their service and went to three Lincolnville cemeteries to also post flags at veterans’ graves.
