ROCKLAND — A Public Hearing will be held Thursday, April 25, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the offices of the Knox County Emergency Management Agency, in Rockland, for the purposes of public review and input for the 2019 revision to the Knox County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The Knox County Hazard Mitigation Plan is a multi-jurisdictional plan which satisfies requirements of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, sets mitigation strategies, describes municipal concerns and identifies potential municipal mitigation projects.
Adoption of the plan by each participating municipality is a prerequisite for a variety of mitigation-related federal grants.

The Public Comment period for the plan closes on May 5.
