Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from July 15-19.

    Zebadiah Campbell, 22, of North Haven, hunting without a valid license on North Haven Oct. 6, 2018, $300 fine.

    Alexander Crawford, 24, of Rockland, aggravated assault and reckless conduct in Rockland June 5, 2019, both dismissed; driving to endanger in Rockland June 5, 2019, $575 fine, 10 days in jail, license suspended 30 days.

    Deven Dever, 27, of Thomaston, arson, three counts, in Rockland March 21, 27, 29, 2019, four years in jail with all but eight months suspended, probation three years.

    Dever was arrested April 1, 2019 by a Maine Fire Marshal investigator, Maryann McMaster, for criminal mischief. The charges against Dever were upgraded to three counts of arson by the District Attorney’s Office April 3, 2019.

    According to the affidavit filed by McMaster in Knox County Unified Court, Dever set fire to the contents of the dumpster at the restaurant where he worked March 21, 27, and 29, 2019. The Rockland Fire Department responded to all three fires, stated Rockland Fire Chief Chris Whytock in the court document.

    Dever told McMaster that that he is under a lot of stress and set the fires as a means to calm himself down, according to the affidavit. He also said that he had set seven fires in total.

    Paul S. Douglas, 56, of Rockland, aggravated assault in Rockland March 13, 2019, eight months in jail; terrorizing in Rockland March 13, 2019, dismissed; operating under the influence (alcohol), one prior, in South Thomaston Nov. 10, 2018, $700 fine, 30 days in jail, license suspended three years; aggravated assault in Rockland Feb. 8, 2019, three years in prison with all but nine months suspended, probation two years; illegal possession of a firearm in Rockland Feb. 8, 2019, 90 days in jail; domestic vilence criminal threatening, domestic violence terrorizing and violating condition of release, all in Rockland Feb. 8, 2019, 30 days in jail.

    Eugene Edgecomb Jr., 47, of Newcastle, operating under the influence, one prior, in Rockland Feb. 23, 2019, dismissed; operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland Feb. 23, 2019, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Calvin Elwell, 33, of Rockland, disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures and refusing to submit to arrest or detention, refusing to stop in Rockland April 14, 2019, 90 days in jail; domestic violence assault and violating condition or release in Rockland April 17, 2019, 90 days in jail; aggravated assault in Rockland May 23, 2019, dismissed; domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal restraint, obstructing report of injury, violating condition of release, all in Rockland May 23, 2019, 90 days in jail; domestic violence assault in Rockland May 23, 2019, 364 days in priosn with all but 120 days suspended, probation two years.

    George Hardt, 68, of South Thomaston, harassment by telephone and violating condition of release in South Thomaston Feb. 8, 2019, both dismissed.

    Peter C. McGowan, 56, of Camden, disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures in Camden July 13, 2019, 48 hours in jail.

    Felicia J. Miller, 28, of Lincolnville, permit unlawful use in Camden June 9, 2019, $150 fine.

    Valerie L. Nile, 50, of Chelsea, criminal trespass in Friendship May 22, 2017, $350 fine.

    Joshua A. Reed, 28, of Friendship, illegal transportation of animal or bird in Friendship May 21, 2019, $100 fine.

    Wade G. Reed, 65, of Friendship, possessing unregistered wild turkey in Friendship May 21, 2019, $300 fine.

    Neal Robillard, 53, of Morrill, violating condition of release, three counts, all in Union July 16, 2019, seven days in jail.

    Brittany Taylor, 37, of Rockland, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in Rockland June 17, 2019, $400 fine, five years in jail with all but 11 months suspended, probation three years, restitution $359.46; unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in Rockland April 29, 2019, dismissed; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, five years in jail with all but 11 months suspended, probation two years, restitution $359.46; violating condition of release in Rockland June 20, 2019, 30 days in jail; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, in Rockland June 10, 2019, 11 months in jail; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer in Rockland June 11, 12, 19, 2019, all dismissed; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, in Rockland June 14, 2019, 30 days in jail.

    Scott E. Weed, 37, of Rockland, operating under the influence (drugs or combination) in Rockport April 3, 2019, dismissed.
