ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Oct. 8-11.

Celjeta Bixhaku, 24, of Rockland, driving to endanger, dismissed.

Micquel R. Foss, 26, of Rockland, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland, Feb. 25, $750 fine, license suspended 150 days.

Nicole E. Foster, 42, of Rockland, keeping dangerous dog, in Rockland, July 24, $250 fine.

Anthony J. Hardy, 25, of Warren, robbery, in Warren, May 17, 2017, six years in prison; theft by unauthorized taking or transfers, priors and assault, in Warren, May 17, 2017, unconditional discharge for both.

Dylan Knowlton, 20, of South Thomaston, assault, in South Thomaston, June 12, 2017, $300 fine.

Arianna Morris, 24, of St. George, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, in Warren, Jan. 19, $400 fine, three years in jail with all but six months suspended, probation three years; unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, dismissed.

Jonathan L. Murphy, 27, of Friendship, untagged lobster traps, Chapter 25, in Friendship, July 30, $750 fine.

Miranda A. Parsons, 26, of Lincolnville, operating while license suspended or revoked, in Lincolnville, May 31, $500 fine.

Wyatt Weaver, 33, of Thomaston, operating under the influence (alcohol)-injury, $2100 fine, four years in jail with all but two years suspended, probation two years, license suspended six years, $30,000 restitution; operating under the influence (alcohol)-injury, $2100 fine, $2100 suspended, four years in jail with all but two years suspended, probation two years, license suspended six years, registration suspended.

Weaver was ordered to pay $30,000 to cover the medical expenses of one of the two individuals who was seriously injured in the car that he struck while under the influence of alcohol.

He will begin serving his sentence Nov. 11.

According to a news release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, on June 6 just before 8 p.m., a 2007 GMC truck, operated by Weaver, lost control of his vehicle traveling south and crossed over the center line, striking a 2012 Volkswagen, traveling north and operated by Brianna Widdecombe, 21, of Cushing.

Weaver’s vehicle was braking and sideways as it struck Widdecombe’s vehicle head-on with its passenger side.

The accident occurred on a stretch of Atlantic Highway north of Lie Nielson Toolworks. A portion of Route 1 in Warren was closed for three and a half hours after the accident. 

Weaver and Widdecombe were both transported by ambulances to local hospitals where LifeFlight then transported them to a Portland hospital. A passenger in Widdecombe’s vehicle was transported to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta with complaints of pain.  

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. It was believed at the time that speed and possibly alcohol were factors in the crash, according to the news release. 

Warren Fire and Rescue, Waldoboro Ambulance, LifeFlight of Maine and Knox County Regional Communications Center assisted at the scene.

Deputy District Attorney Jeff Baroody was also called to the scene due to the seriousness of the crash.
