    SEARPORT —  Meditation, discussions, plantings, and books are on tap at Carver Memorial Library in Searsport during the month of June.

    Guided Meditation for Healing
    Wednesday June 5, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
    Energy healer Diana Maria Chapin will guide a free healing meditation to help expand awareness of energy in and around the body and direct this healing energy to improve personal wellness.

    Free. Registration requested so we know there are enough people for the class to run. Register online with Journey to Health, or call 921-3950.
     
    Movie Buffs Discussion
    Tuesday, June 11, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
    Talk about what you’ve been watching lately, enthuse with fellow movie buffs, and add to your must-see list while enjoying tea and cookies.

    Thursday June 20, at 3 p.m.
    Plant sunflowers in the library garden and one to take home. All ages, children, adults, and everyone in between.
     
    Author Visit: Linda Buckmaster
    Tuesday June 25, at 5:30 p.m.
    She will read from and discuss her book Space Heart, which combines prose poems, narrative memoir, and history, about growing up on the Space Coast of Florida, her family, and her move to Maine.
     
    Summer Library Challenge “A Universe of Stories”
    All ages, June 15 to the end of August

    Library staff encourage you to read widely and explore the library and the world around you. This summer the theme is “A Universe of Stories”, celebrating outer space, exploration, and the imagination.

    Stop by the library in June for the Library Challenge brochure with instructions, reading log, and list of all the summer events and activities.

    Book Sale Special for the whole month of June! All ex-library books are half price. Look for a spine label or plastic dust jacket.
