MIDCOAST — The Babe Ruth baseball season continued this week in the Midcoast. 

This season, the Midcoast Babe Ruth Baseball League consists of five teams: Waldoboro (representing the RSU 40 area), Rockland Ford (representing the RSU 13 area), Granite Coast (representing a portion of the Five Towns area), P.G. Willey (representing a portion of the Five Towns area) and Damariscotta Lions.

In the Friday contest, Rockland Ford plated four runs in the third inning, one in the fourth and four in the sixth inning while Damariscotta Lions plated its lone two runs in the seventh inning. 

Rockland Ford tallied seven hits, committed one error and stranded five base runners. Damariscotta Lions recorded two hits, committed one error and abandoned four runners. 

At the plate for Rockland Ford were Taygan McAllister (run and RBI), Jacob Watkinson (run and RBI), Gavin Ripley (double, two RBI), Dylan Winslow (run), Gilbert Stewart (single, RBI), Kavie Maloney (single, run), Levi Philbrook (run), Parker Darge (single, run), Brady Proctor (single), Josh Pratt (run), Bryson Mattox (run) and Blade Brann (two single, run, three RBI). 

At the plate for Damariscotta Lions were Micah Tomasello (single, run), Blake Grady (run) and Lincoln Ball (single). 

Pitching for Rockland Ford were Watkinson (six innings, two hits, 10 strikeouts, no walks) and Winslow.

Rockland Ford plated four runs in each of the first two innings, one in the third, two in the fourth and five in the seventh while collecting 20 hits, committing four errors and stranding nine runners on base. 

P.G. Willey tallied three runs in the first, two in the second and one in the fourth while tallying 12 hits, committing five errors and stranding seven on base.
