MIDCOAST — The Babe Ruth baseball season continued this week in the Midcoast. 

This season, the Midcoast Babe Ruth Baseball League consists of five teams: Waldoboro (representing the RSU 40 area), Rockland Ford (representing the RSU 13 area), Granite Coast (representing a portion of the Five Towns area), P.G. Willey (representing a portion of the Five Towns area) and Damariscotta Lions.

Rockland Ford plated one run in the first inning before tallying a trio in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings in the shutout. 

Granite Coast recorded four hits, seven errors and five runners left on base. Rockland Ford, meanwhile, tallied 12 hits, one error and 11 runners left on base. 

At the plate for Rockland Ford were Taygan McAllister (three runs), Jacob Watkinson (single), Gilbert Philbrook (single), Gavin Ripley (run, RBI), Kavie Maloney (double, RBI), Connor Curtis (triple, two RBI), Bryson Mattox (single, run), Dominic Frisone (two singles), Blade Brann (single, run), Dylan Chairamonte (sacrifice fly), Brady Proctor (two singles, two runs) and Dylan Winslow (two singles, double, RBI, two runs). 

At the plate for Granite Coast were Ezra Landry (double), Owen Hotchkin (single), Owen McManus (single) and Franklin Coffey (single). 

Working the mound for Rockland Ford were Ripley (six innings, three singles, 11 strikeouts, no walks) and Brann. 

Hurling for Granite Coast were Coffey and Landon Geis.
