Islesboro Police beat: OUI, accident, theft

    ISLESBORO - Islesboro Public Safety Director Fred Porter reported the following activity July 1-15 for the Islesboro Police Department. The department received or responded to 35 calls for service to include three animal problems, two speed complaints, one theft and 29 other complaints. Four parking tickets were issued.

    An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceedings.

    July 3

    George Jerman III, 26, of Rochester, N.Y., was charged by Porter for operating under the influence. (alcohol)

    July 7

    Lucie Myers, 62, of Islesboro, received a summons by Porter for allowing a dog to be at large.

    July 11

    Kelly Brochu, 46, of Bath, was cited by Porter for failure to register an automobile.

    Four parking tickets were issued.
