Holly Berry Fair set for Rockport church, Dec. 2
WEST ROCKPORT — Rockport Garden Club’s Holly Berry Fair will take place on Saturday morning, Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to Noon, at the West Rockport Baptist Church, 545 Park Street, West Rockport. The proceeds fund the beautification of Rockport and the Club’s scholarship program.
The public is asked to enter through the parking lot side door. Ample parking is available.
“There is something for everyone – delectable baked goods, a craft table with hand-made gifts and ornaments, beautiful costume jewelry, decorated wreaths and trees, hand-painted furniture, lovely hostess gifts, freshly decorated, fragrant holiday greenery,” said Rockport Garden Club, in a news release.
The Cook’s Corner will feature kitchen/dining china and glassware, and the Second Look table will offer lightly loved gifts and household items. The art card table will feature hand-crafted holiday cards that are a gift in themselves, according to the release.
“Everything you need for the holidays will be all in one place,” said the Club.
The proceeds from the Fair support the Club’s scholarships for outstanding local students and the maintenance of many of Rockport’s public gardens, keeping them fresh and lovely for locals and visitors to enjoy. You can see the Club’s handiwork at Andre the Seal in Harbor Park, Rockport Post Office, West Rockport Post Office and Fire Station, The Opera House, The Camden/Rockport Arch, the flower boxes at Aldermere Farm, Memorial Park Monument, Mary Lea Park, Goose River Footbridge, Goose River Upper Bridge. The Rockport Garden Club provides Christmas wreaths and garlands throughout the area in late November.
This year’s fair is chaired by Gail Nicholson, Karyl Brown, Beverly Shejen, and Nan Bow.
Founded in 1934, the Rockport Garden Club meets on the first Thursday of the month in the lower level of the West Rockport Baptist Church, 545 Park Street, West Rockport.
