Hit the pavement with Trekkers 5K road race fundraiser, June 11
ROCKLAND — Nonprofit organization Trekkers will host its annual road race fundraiser from its headquarters in Rockland again this year. The Trekkers 5K Run/Walk race will take place Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 325 Old County Road.
Registration for the race is open. Start and Finish at Trekkers – 325 Old County Road. Check-in is 7 - 8 a.m.; race starts at 8:30 a.m. Cost: $25 through June 7 at 5 p.m.; $35 on Race Day.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Trekkers and students will be fundraising to support their program dues. Dues help pay for the cost of the program and go towards transportation, lodging, meals, and activities for students while on expedition and throughout the year.
One hundred percent of entry donations support Trekkers. One hundred percent of pledges support student dues.
Breakfast treats will be donated by Flipside Coffee and enjoyed while awards and prizes are distributed after the race.
This year’s race T-shirt design was created by 11th grade Trekkers student Leilani Myers. T-shirts are on sale for $15 here, printed by Adventure Advertising.
