OWLS HEAD — The Owl’s Head Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, November 3, at 1 p.m., at the Community Building, 224 Ash Point Drive, Owl’s Head. Tom Mullin, recently appointed executive director of the Herring Gut Learning Center located in Port Clyde, will speak about the Center and its post pandemic plans. He will be sharing the story of the Learning Center as it approaches its 25th anniversary and how it is emerging from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mullin came to the Herring Gut Learning Center after 21 years at Unity College. Serving as an Associate Professor of Parks and Forest Resources, he has extensive experience in nonprofit management, environmental education and visitor interpretive services.
He serves on numerous state and national professional association boards of directors including the National Association for Interpretation, the Washburn Norlands Living History Center and the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.
The meeting is open to the public. All attendees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and must wear masks.
