Here for you if you need me

Thu, 11/24/2022 - 4:30pm

For 12 years, practicing as a family doctor, I came to know many people in the Midcoast.  In addition to helping many people in a family practice, I also was the medical director of the Pen Bay Hospice and Palliative Care program and also treated hundreds of people for their drug addictions.

Now that I have been fully retired from practice for the past 4 years, and no longer treat people medically, I can still use my experience and skills to listen, guide and comfort people in distress.  Sometimes, people don’t feel cared about or listened to.  Sometimes, they are overwhelmed with their illness and don’t feel they have enough caring support.  Sometimes, they don’t understand enough about their illness, and about their medical care, to make life and medical decisions.  Sometimes, they are seeking some advice. Sometimes, they just need some company.

I am here to help as best as I can.  I do this purely free of charge as a volunteer.  I do this as a caring neighbor.

If you might be interested in my support, or just have questions about me, please call me or text me at (207) 691-5344 or send me an email to driramandel@gmail.com.
