Hearts on the house — and much more — in Rockport
ROCKPORT — Hearts bloomed all over Rockport Village sometime in the wee hours before dawn on St. Valentine’s Day. The secret hearts remain so, but we will let them know that their gesture cheered up the town on a blustery winter’s day.
The paper hearts were stapled to poles, doors, trees and firewood; they were even affixed to the Rockport Harbor footbridge, which has been so icy that few have ventured over it recently.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
With heart, you covered windows, bridges and sheds,
And the community sure thanks you!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
