Rockland Public Library will host "Am I Hungry?" a virtual talk by Hester Kohl, on Thursday, July 16, at 6:30 p.m. The presentation will take place via the Zoom platform.
Are you spending more time at home these days, and struggling with boredom, stress, and full access to food? Anxiety seems to be widespread, currently, and for many, food is comforting, according to the Library, in a news release. How do you tell if you’re truly hungry or if something just looks tempting?
In this workshop, you’ll learn about the symptoms of true hunger, and identify what may be the best time to eat. You’ll also discover the symptoms of “head hunger,” a variety of physical, environmental, and emotional triggers that make us want to eat, even if we’re not hungry. Participants could leave with tools to identify their own personal food-related triggers, and uncover what they are really craving, according to the Library.
Hester Kohl is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She specializes in one-on-one and group programs to help people enjoy eating and enjoy life.
