JACKSON — Harold Edward "Ed" Moore II, 42 of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at his home with his beloved wife, Nikki, by his side. He was born on September 12, 1977, in Bangor, the son of Harold I and Cheryl (Greenlaw) Moore.

He graduated from Mt. View High School in 1996.

He was blessed with his greatest gift, his son, Harold Edward "Eddie" Moore III, in 1997. He then went on to receive a degree in diesel mechanics from Washington County Tech. In 2002 he started working at Bangor Truck & Trailer, where he remained a dedicated employee until his passing.

Not long after starting his career, he met the love of his life, Nikki, and they married in 2009.

Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out with his rescue dog, Stella, woodcutting and farming with his best friend, his dad Harold.

His major passion in life, however, started in his teens when he joined the Jackson Fire Department as a junior firefighter and continued that passion for the next 25 years, moving up the ranks until he made Lieutenant.

Ed was a funny jokester who loved to get a rise out of people. He also loved helping people with every fiber of his being. Ed was a great man who will be missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Howard I and Margaret (Dean) Moore; his maternal grandparents Clarence and Eunice (Turner) Greenlaw; his brother Howard Edward Moore II; and his aunt Karen Moore.

He is survived by his wife Nicole (Herrick) Moore of Jackson; his parents Harold I and Cheryl (Greenlaw) Moore of Jackson; his son Harold Edward Moore III of Franklin; his sister Susan Drummond of Florida; his brother Kenneth Drummond and wife Pam of Virginia, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
