SEARSPORT — Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust, Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital’s Journey to Health program for a Happy Wanderers Hike on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m., at the Long Cove Preserve in Searsport. This will be an easy hike totaling 1.2 miles of moderate hiking, with the option of going further if the group chooses.
How to get there: From Searsport, take Mt. Ephraim Road west (off of Route 1). In 2.6 miles turn right onto Savery Road. Follow for 0.6 miles to the preserve parking lot on the right.
The Happy Wanderers meet on the first Thursday of each month. The hikes range in location from Rockport to Stockton Springs. Each outing is led by a Coastal Mountains and Journey to Health staff member.
“We hope you can join us,” said CMLT, in a news release.
