ROCKLAND — GoldenOak, an indie soul-folk band fronted by sibling duo Zak and Lena Kendall, will perform at the Strand Theatre on Friday, January 21 at 7:30pm.
GoldenOak’s music is rooted in the natural landscape; their songs move like a stream, meandering and weaving in an original yet grounding direction. GoldenOak’s music calmly excites its listeners while nestled in rich folk-influenced sibling harmony. The Maine-based band has built a steady and growing fan base with this kind of energetic intimacy.
The group's latest album, “Room to Grow,” is a 10-song reflection of the emotional and physical impacts of the climate crisis. The band is rounded out by up-right bassist Mike Knowles and Drummer Jackson Cromwell.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 on the day of the show, with a special ticket pricing of $5 for students, including college students with ID. Covid safety policies require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of the show, presented at the door along with a photo ID. Masks are also required of all patrons and staff. Audience capacity for this show is reduced to 60%.
