Gibbs Library presents 14th annual student art exhibit

WASHINGTON — The Gibbs Library, Washington Village, Washington, Maine is proud to present their annual student art exhibit featuring the student artists from Prescott Elementary School from Thursday, March 8, 2018, through Tuesday, May 2, 2018. A reception for the artists will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. Students, parents, and friends are invited.

Anthony Lufkin is the Art teacher for the students, who each year produce memorable works of art. This year the student work is reflective of several artists' styles and cultural art forms including artists such as Georgia O'Keefe, Wassily Kandinsky, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Alan Magee, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, M.C. Escher, Vincent van Gogh, and more, including culturally based art forms such as mask-making and ink painting. We all look forward to seeing what the students have produced.

The Gibbs Library is located at 40 Old Union Road, in Washington Village and is open on Monday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday 9 a.m. until Noon and 4 p.m. 7 p.m.; Thursday 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
