Gibbs Library May/June art exhibit showcases 'Outside Work'
Gibbs Library presents evocative photography of three Washington, Maine, artists in its May/June exhibit: "Outside Work: Photography by Three Local Artists."
The artist reception will be held Sunday, June 7, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be offered.
About the artists:
Rachel Oakes is a local artist who works in many media. She is a painter, sculptor, and photographer.
"She creates stunning outdoor work about nature and her family," said a Library news release.
Delphine Sherin is a printmaker and paper artist. She uses nature as inspiration and takes many outdoor photographs.
"David Spahr is a local photographer and educator, known for his fantastic landscapes and photographs of fungi," said the news release. "He also cooks with foraged food and posts beautiful photos of the meals."
