VINALHAVEN — With a very generous donation received from The Friends of the Library, print books have been purchased for every Pre-K through Grade 5 student at the Vinalhaven School. 

The process for receiving the books will be to drive through the loop on the day and hours designated.

Once in front of the school, only two families will be allowed out of their vehicles at a time. Wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines are a must.

Once on the sidewalk you will receive your new books, as well as have the opportunity to participate in The Book Swap which will be set up in front of the building also.

Many book donations for The Book Swap (which have been going through "quarantine" for three weeks) have been received, so everyone will have a chance to choose at least one book. If you bring books for the book swap, they will be held until a later swap to be safe.

Also being handed out at these times will be the books for students who completed the library reading challenge.

July 7: Kindergarten and Grade 1 
July 8: Grades 2-3
July 9: Grades 4-5
