BREMEN — Anne Perkins, of Headacre Farm, will discuss the steps to take this fall to prepare your gardens to winter over and be prepared for next year’s growing season.
During the talk, Thursday, September 26, at 7 p.m., at the Bremen Library, she will discuss both flower, shrub, and vegetable garden preparation and cleanup. She will also provide tips for encouraging the survival of beneficial insects and other native wildlife that will benefit gardens and grounds.
Recordkeeping and planning for the gardens will also be covered.
Perkins grows vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit at Headacre Farm in Owls Head on land leased from Kerry Altiero, the chef/owner of Café Miranda, in Rockland.
