ROCKPORT — The Town of Rockport is holding two more community meetings, asking citizens what they want to do with the former Rockport Elementary School site on the corner of routes 1 and 90, and West Street, in Rockport.
The lot size is 7.67 acres.
The Rockport RES Redevelopment Task Force and Economic Development Committee are asking citizens for opinions on how the town-owned parcel should be developed, or not.
The meetings are:
Monday, May 2, 5 p.m.- 6:30 p.m., Samoset Resort (220 Warrenton Street)
Tuesday, May 10, 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., West Rockport Baptist Church (545 Park Street)
The Town is seeking community input both before and after a Conceptual Plan. The committees e are hoping to create a plan that will receive widespread support throughout Rockport. Any Conceptual Plan that is advanced will be presented to Rockport voters for a vote.
Members of the Rockport RES Redevelopment Task Force and Economic Development Committee will facilitate discussion, with Town staff and members of the Select Board present to listen.
