Free ‘Stop the Bleed’ training offered in Rockland

ROCKLAND — Knox County Citizen's Preparedness Academy Program is offering its second training course, Stop the Bleed, Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Knox County Emergency Management Agency, in Rockland.

The course is free, and intended for any members of the public wishing to learn more about first aid and how to help others while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.

Seats are limited.

Registration is required to attend. Send your name and contact information to crichards@knoxcountymaine.gov to sign up for the course.

Sponsored by Knox County EMA; instructors for this course are from local EMS agencies: Thomaston EMS, St. George EMS, and South Thomaston EMS.
