ROCKLAND — A free food distribution is planned for Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., in the parking lot of Oceanside High School, 400 Broadway, in Rockland.
The free boxes of food are funded by a federal grant awarded to Vincent Farms, of Delaware. The event is organized by the Salvation Army, of Rockland, in partnership with Knox County EMA.
Each box contains*: 3 lbs apples, 3 lbs potatoes, 3 lbs onions, 1 lb mozzarella cheese, 3 packages hot dogs (8 in each), a half-gallon of liquid eggs, 2 containers of sour cream, 5 yogurts, a cucumber, two 16-oz containers of sour cream, and one 14-oz smoked sausage. A gallon of 2 % milk will be handed out with each box.

No prerequisites. No sign up. No paperwork. Not income based.
First come first served while supplies last.
Drive-thru distribution: Stay in your vehicle, follow the signs, drive through the pick-up line and a volunteer (wearing a mask and gloves) will put the box in your trunk or backseat.
