CAMDEN — Merryspring Nature Center will host a free family fall foliage walk, Saturday, October 19, at 10 a.m.
This walk will lead guests through the forests and meadows of Merryspring to view changing leaves at peak season. Along the way, guests will learn a little about the science of why leaves change colors, look and listen for birds, and find evidence of animals and the changing season. Part of the walk will take guests over the three new trail bridges that were built on the perimeter trail in the summer of 2019.
This program is part of the Free Family Programs series at Merryspring and is open to all ages free of charge.
This is an outdoor event. Guests should wear weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and be prepared to walk on uneven terrain for at least one hour. In the event of very heavy rain, the program will be canceled.
Merryspring is a community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round.
The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
