Free class: Eating Better on a Budget

Want to learn how to prepare healthy foods on a limited budget? Join SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators from Knox and Waldo counties for Eating Better on a Budget. This free four-week class will give you the skills to shop, cook and eat healthy foods while stretching your SNAP dollars and staying within your grocery budget, according to Pen Bay Medical Center, in a news release.

There will be recipe demonstrations at each fun and interactive virtual session. All participants will receive a colorful cookbook with 24 healthy, low-cost recipes and nutrition tips.

The class is scheduled for Mondays, November 2 - 23, from 3 – 4 p.m., online.

Maine SNAP-Ed

Maine SNAP-Ed provides nutrition education services in settings like schools, food pantries, Head Starts, and other child care settings, grocery stores, and regional DHHS offices. The Maine SNAP-Ed program is made up of over 35 Nutrition Educators and Program Coordinators located statewide. We aim to reach every community within the state of Maine to provide nutrition education to low-income Mainers.
