Fred Thompson and Chris Fyfe to perform at Rockville Chapel
The Rockville Chapel is pleased to announce that the much-anticipated performance of Fred Thompson and Chris Fyfe will take place Friday, August 10, at 7 p.m.
Chris and Fred are both members of the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame and the Maine Ole Opry. They have performed together for years.
Fred was born and raised in Rockland. Chris is from Pittston.
They play songs by Merle Haggard, George Jones, Willie Nelson and others.
They have performed with artists who have toured Maine, such as Tony Booth, Leona Williams, Michael Twitty, Georgette Jones, Highway 101, Dick Curless and others.
The Rockville Chapel is a classic historic meetinghouse that has been lovingly revived with new windows, new steeple, painting carpeting and new heating system. The friends of the Rockville Chapel are continuing the restoration by raising funds for exterior maintenance this summer with a series of events. More events are in the planning stages.
See rockvillecommunitychapel.org for more information. Tickets are available on August 10 for a suggested donation of $5.
Get there early for good seats.
