Four local girls soccer teams qualify for playoffs

The 2019 girls soccer regular season has come to a close and four local teams have qualified for the playoffs.

Here are the final regular season records for all the teams in our coverage area, as well as the playoff seeds and opening round playoff games.

The preliminary round will take place Friday, Oct. 25 for Class A, B and C teams. There is no preliminary round for Class D South teams. 

The regional quarterfinals will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29. 

The semifinals will be held Friday, Nov. 1 for Class A and C teams and Saturday, Nov. 2 for Class B and D teams.

The regional finals are set for Tuesday, Nov. 5 for Class A and C teams and Wednesday, Nov. 6 for Class B and D teams.

The state championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 9.

Belfast 4-9-1 Class B North Finished 12th (of 15)
Camden Hills 14-0 Class A North Finished 1st (of 13)
Medomak Valley 9-3-2 Class B South Finished 6th (of 16)
Mount View 7-6-1 Class C North Finished 7th (of 15) 
Oceanside 0-14 Class B North Finished 15th (of 15) 
Searsport 3-11 Class D South Finished 7th (of 11) 
Vinalhaven/North Haven 0-12 Class D South Finished 11th (of 11) 

 

Opening Round Playoff Pairings

Class A North: #1 Camden Hills earned a bye; will host the winner of #8 Lewiston versus #9 Brewer in the regional quarterfinals.

Class B South: #6 Medomak Valley will host #11 Leavitt in the preliminary round. 

Class C North: #7 Mount View will host #10 Mattanawcook Academy in the preliminary round. 

Class D South: There is no preliminary round for this division. Thus, #7 Searsport will travel to #2 Richmond in the regional quarterfinals.
