LINCOLNVILLE — The Lincolnville Community Library will host Sally Stockwell of Maine Audubon who will present an informative illustrated program of Forestry for Maine Birds (FFMB), Friday, June 14, at 2 p.m.
Following the presentation at the library, participants may join Stockwell and others for a guided walk into the forests at Cameron Mountain. The walk will begin at 3:30 p.m., starting and ending at the upper parking lot at Cellardoor Winery on Youngtown Road in Lincolnville.
This event should be of particular interest to woodland landowners who have the potential to create high quality bird habitats, to foresters, land trust members and anyone interested in learning about forest birds, according to the Library.
The FFMB approach integrates bird conservation into forest management and planning. In this afternoon workshop, you will learn how to:
• Improve habitat for priority forest birds and a variety of other wildlife species
• Take care of your woodland
• Work with other forest management goals
• Enhance the value and enjoyment of Maine woodlands for many generations to come
The library is located at 208 Main Street in Lincolnville Center. For more information call 706-3896 or email questions@lincolnvillelibrary. org
