comedy about some sort of woman living her sort of life

ROCKLAND — A captured-live broadcast of Fleabag from London’s National Theatre will be presented, Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Strand Theatre. Show times are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

This hilarious, one-woman show played to sold-out audiences in New York and London and inspired the BBC’s hit TV series Fleabag, according to Strand, in a news release.

Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Killing Eve) and directed by Vicky Jones, Fleabag is a “rip-roaring” look at some sort of woman living her sort of life.

Fleabag may seem oversexed, emotionally unfiltered and self-obsessed, but that's just the tip of the iceberg, according to Strand. With family and friendships under strain and a guinea pig café struggling to keep afloat, Fleabag suddenly finds herself with nothing to lose.

Age recommendation 15+ (R rating). Contains strong language. Running time: 80 minutes.

Tickets: $12.50/General Admission, $10.50/Strand Members.
