CAMDEN — Camden Opera House’s Blue Café series continues Friday, Oct. 25, with acclaimed acoustic guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto, performing at 7:30 p.m. in the intimate third-floor concert space.
Doors open 7 p.m. and admission is free.
Tsukamoto, who came to Berklee College of Music from Kyoto, Japan, in 2000, blends folk, jazz and world music in his intricate fingerstyle work. His performances are known for both lightning-fast playing and immersive soundscapes, as well as spirited songwriting and engaging storytelling, according to Blue Cafe, in a news release.
“Musicianship like this is a rare treat … even rarer for no admission charge,” said Blue Cafe.
There will be a cash bar by 40 Paper to add to the evening.
Donations are welcome for the Community Arts Fund. Blackberry Inn sponsors the performance.
