BELFAST — Come celebrate the holidays at the 4th annual Festival of Trees, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8, at the United Farmers Market in Belfast. Hours are from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., on Saturday; and 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., on Sunday.
The Festival of Trees features decorated Christmas trees donated by local businesses or groups of community members, and festooned with valuable items and gift certificates.
Themed trees, such as Family Fun, Date Night, Men’s Tree, or Mom’s Day Off, will be on hand as well.
Each tree and its contents will go home with a raffle winner.
A Silent Auction will feature a South Africa Photo Safari package, a photography session at Cross Photography, a CedarWorks bench, a fishing trip, an art print on canvas, plus many more items.
Also at the celebration will be music, cookies, and a visit from Santa on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Admission is $3 for ages 13 and up, $2 for ages 12 and under, and free for under age 2. Raffle tickets are 50 cents each.
All proceeds from this event will go toward the Belfast High School’s Project Graduation. Organized by parents of seniors at BAHS, Project Graduation will provide a fun, all-night, alcohol-free post-graduation experience for the seniors.
