Festival of short plays features emerging playwrights, local actors
BELFAST — The University of Maine Hutchinson Center will host six short plays presented by Belfast’s Cold Comfort Theate, May 24–25. The works of six emerging playwrights will be featured both evenings.
The six plays and playwrights are I Forgot to Knock by Alyson Peabody; Familiar by Robert J. LeBlanc; Bridal Rose by Madeline Daly Puccioni; Modern Theatre Critic by Robert Thomas Noll; PayDayus Ex Machina by Chuck Smith; and No Kind of Place by Ilene Starger.
Performances begin at 7 p.m.
Familiar features Mike Rowe, Giovanni Carbone and Angela Domenichelli; Modern Theatre Critic features Jason Stubbs; No Kind of Place features Giovanni Carbone and Lynn Bushee, I Forgot to Knock features Shannon Christensen; Bridal Rose features Andre Blanchard and Shannon Christensen; and PayDayus Ex Machina features Jason Stubbs, Dorothy Wilson, Andre Blanchard, Shannon Christensen, and Giovanni Carbone.
The collection of staged readings are directed by Aynne Ames and Maggie Goscinski.
