CAMDEN — Merryspring Nature Center will host a night hike for families and children on Saturday, August 15, at 8 p.m.
“After the sun goes down, the natural world is still awake!” said Merryspring, in a news release.
This program will lead guests around Merryspring at dusk to discover nighttime ecology. The guided tour will allow guests to discover what happens at at night, including listening for nighttime birds and owls, watching for crepuscular and nocturnal mammals, and looking for and detecting bats.
To keep groups small during pandemic conditions, limited space is available and guests MUST pre-register for this program. Families can sign up by contacting Merryspring at email@example.com or 207-236-2239.
This program is outdoors. Families must wear face masks and adhere to safe social distancing guidelines. In the event of rain, this program will be canceled. Guests should bring a flashlight and be prepared to be outside for up to one hour.
Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round.
