Event has passed

Rockland Public Library's third week of Summer Reading Program will feature special guest, local author Fran Hodgkins, Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m.

Hodgkins will be reading an excerpt from her new young adult novel, Hex: The Apprentice. This is the first book in a three-part series featuring a young girl who finds that her family has a magical presence in her town.

“Listen to a piece of this new enchanted coming-of-age story, recommended for ages 9 and up,” said the Library, in a news release. “Then chat with Fran about her writing process and take part in a Q&A.”
Fran Hodgkins is an author of more than two dozen books, including the picture books Andre the Famous Harbor Seal, If You Were My Baby, and The Secret Galaxy. Hex is Hodgkin's first YA novel.
