BELFAST — Penobscot Shores’ monthly Enrichment Series for adults 50-plus will continue when it presents “Penobscot Nation” on Wednesday, August 14, from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Penobscot Shores.

In this program, the Penobscot Nation Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, Chris Sockalexis, will explore the influence of the Penobscot Nation’s presence in Maine – past and present – through their unique history, culture and preservation efforts.

As Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, Chris Sockalexis’ mission is to manage, preserve and protect the Penobscot Nation’s cultural and historic properties, resources and interests within the Penobscot cultural landscape of Maine.

With programs designed to educate, inspire and connect older adults, admission to all Penobscot Shores’ Enrichment Series programs is free, but registration is required.
