Once again Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is offering an Environmental Book Group and will meet online Thursdays, October 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Join Rebecca Jacobs, Knox-Lincoln SWCD Program Manager, for a lively discussion on A Life on Our Planet: My Witness Statement and Vision for the Future by David Attenborough. This companion book to the October 2020 film: A Life on Our Planet, received positive reviews in many publications, including Financial Times and Kirkus Reviews and the reviews highlighted the importance of Attenborough’s “refreshingly optimistic” message, according to SWCD, in a news release.
Jacobs will also discuss practical ways to implement various conservation practices on your property to restore the health of the landscape and mitigate further loss.
Registration is required to obtain a link to the online discussion. Register here: https://www.knox-lincoln.org/environmental-book-club.
For those not wishing to purchase books, limited copies are available to borrow through your local library or InterLibrary Loan.
There is no fee for the program.
