BELFAST — New Hope for Women and the Elder Abuse Institute of Maine are providing a free workshop to educate community members and service providers about the dynamics of elder abuse and resources that are available in our communities to help people respond to this challenging issue.
The workshop will include representatives from many agencies, including the Maine Council for Elder Abuse Prevention, Maine State Police, Spectrum Generations, Legal Services for the Elderly, Adult Protective Services, Waldo County Triad, Elder Abuse Institute of Maine, and New Hope for Women.
The workshop is scheduled to take place at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast, Thursday, March 21, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Space is limited.
