Early winter nature walk for families at Merryspring

CAMDEN — Merryspring Nature Center will host an early winter nature walk for families on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m.

All ages are invited on this guided tour of Merryspring Nature Center to explore early winter ecology. Guests will watch for winter birds, learn about how different animals behave in winter, look for tracks, identify leafless trees, and more.

This walk will also introduce walkers to Merryspring’s new trail blazing system and map, which have been redesigned over the past year by Merryspring volunteers.

This program is part of the Free Family Programs series at Merryspring and is free to all ages. Space is limited, and guests must pre-register by contacting Merryspring at 207-236-2239 or info@merryspring.org. All guests must wear face masks, weather-appropriate clothing and shoes, and be prepared to walk for one hour.

Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round. The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
