CAMDEN — Camden Opera House’s Blue Café series concludes for 2019 on Friday, Nov. 29, with indie folk-rock duo Dyado, performing at 7:30 p.m. in the intimate third-floor concert space. Doors open 7 p.m., and admission is free.
Dyado – pronounced dee-YAH-doh – is the project of Louisa Stancioff and Matt Lohan, East Coast cousins with local ties who reconnected later in life and bonded over playing classic country and writing songs. Based in Asheville, N.C., Dyado is working on a second full-length album of original tunes “that mesmerize with a hazy sweetness,” said Blue Cafe, in a news release.
New tracks have been appearing all month on Spotify, along with a jaunty remix of Dyado seasonal favorite, Friendsgiving.
“This heart-felt evening with Dyado should be the perfect follow-up to the annual family feed — and it’s free,” said Blue Cafe.
There will be a cash bar by 40 Paper Italian Bar & Bistro.
Donations are welcome for the Community Arts Fund, which sponsors the Blue Café.
