CAMDEN — Gardener John Fromer will lead a workshop on dried flower arrangements Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.
This hands-on class will teach beginners how to select and grow the right flowers, how to dry flowers and flower arrangement tips based on color and texture. Each guest will be able to take home their own arrangement.
Fromer has been a Maine Master Gardener since 1998 and runs Appleton Ridge Flower and Vegetable Farm with his wife, Kathy, also a Maine Master Gardener. They grow flowers, vegetables, and herbs in a sustainable and authentic fashion.
The cost of this workshop is $35, with a discounted rate of $30 for Merryspring members.
All guests should bring their own vase, a pair of clippers, and something to carry an arrangement with such as a box. All flowers will be provided.
