Dr. Goggans appointed to Maine’s Medical Advisory Board
Camden doctor Frederick Goggans has been appointed to the Maine Medical Advisory Board as an addiction specialist.
Maine’s Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap welcomed Goggans to the board, which provides guidance to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the secretary of state on significant questions regarding who should receive and retain a driver’s license.
Goggans is medical director at Borden Cottage, in Camden, which offers a residential treatment for alcohol and drug addiction through McLean Hospital.
He oversees a team of professionals providing residential treatment for patients with alcohol and other addictions, many of whom present with co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
