On Thursday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m., the Rockland Public Library presents "Discover Something Awesome in Maine!" a Zoom talk by Jeremy Grant of The Timber Cross.

YouTube videographer and content creator Jeremy Grant will discuss his favorite places in Maine and what makes them so unique. No matter what the weather or where the location, it is his true desire to get people outside to see how awesome it can be for themselves, according to RPL, in a news release.

Grant's videos on his YouTube channel explore ice fishing, moose hunting, take viewers on a journey along the Allagash, over waterfalls, to the Toboggan Championships and Crown of Maine Balloon Festival, and more. To explore more video content, check out the Jeremy T. Grant YouTube channel.

"It is always so amazing to me how I can go to some locations many times, but still see it as a new adventure,” said Grant, in the release. “Elements seem to shift every time I visit. It can be anything from different weather to going with different folks. Or instead of driving around Katahdin, I have flown around it in a small plane. Each time I go on an adventure, Maine definitely shows off in all her beauty. There is just so much to do and see in Maine. "

Grant grew up in the Maine woods and the love of adventure is in his blood. When it came time to settle down, Maine called him home and he married his high school sweetheart and started a family. While working with a roofing company, Grant used drone to capture the finished roofing jobs and found himself drawn past the rooftops and towards the beautiful scenery of Maine. He wanted to make longer videos about the people, places and all that Maine has to offer, so he put together his love of adventure and the beauty of Maine to create the media company The Timber Cross.
