ST. GEORGE — Close to the same time that Knox County Communications Center received a report of a rollover in Owls Head, dispatchers also received a report of damaged mailboxes in St. George.

Prior to 1:45 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, a vehicle in St. George drove into several mailboxes along a stretch of road, according to Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

At one point, the vehicle allegedly got stuck on the side of the road, but was quickly pulled out by another vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Deputies continue to investigate.
