Deep relaxation retreat in Rockland combines yoga, cello music
ROCKLAND — On Saturday, March 16, from 2 to 5 p.m., Rachel Nixon and Robin Lane will offer a Deep Relaxation Retreat with yoga and soothing cello music. The event will take place at The Dancing Elephant in Rockland.
The program is open to the public by donation.
The retreat will include gentle yoga, breathwork, and meditation practices accompanied by the healing sounds of the acoustic cello. The combination of restorative yoga and therapeutic sound will restore balance at all levels, according to The Dancing Elephant, in a news release.
Everyone is welcome, including beginners.
Rachel Nixon received her yoga teacher certification at Kripalu in 2006, and she has been teaching yoga in the Midcoast ever since.
Robin Lane performs classical, jazz, and contemporary works throughout Maine. His music provokes conscious thought, bringing peace to the mind of the individual, society, and the environment, the release said.
The Dancing Elephant is a community center for yoga, meditation, and art located in downtown Rockland. All programs are donation-based and available for all levels.
