Dec. 3 Busline League basketball results

The Busline League opened the regular season for middle school basketball on Monday, Dec. 3 across the Midcoast and several local schools were in action.

8th Grade Boys Basketball: Oceanside 63, Medomak 55

In Thomaston, Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 10-5, 25-24 and 39-38. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kevin Sincyr (17 points), Gaitlin Bedinek (two), Blake Morrison (six), Will Cheesman (nine), Wyatt Simmons (one), Gavin Clark (three), Finn Parmalee (12) and Matthew Holbrook (five). 

Scoring for Oceanside: A. Bartlett (17 points), H. Jacques (eight), J. Leclerc (five), A. Collins (11), I. Meklin (16) and R. Jones (four). 

Oceanside will next play host to Camden-Rockport on Friday, Dec. 7, while Medomak’s next contest will be Wednesday, Dec. 5 at home against Great Salt Bay. 

7th Grade Girls Basketball: Oceanside 35, Medomak 22

In Waldoboro, Medomak held a slim 3-2 margin after the first quarter, but Oceanside was able to enter the halftime pause 17-7. After three quarters, Oceanside held a narrow 23-18 advantage. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kaylee Kurr (two points), Eliza Luce (six), Sara Nelson (seven), Olivia Pelkey (two) and Haley Puchalski (five).

Scoring for Oceanside were Maddie Ripley (two points), Jillian Burnard (two), Caitlyn Lamb (two), Sophie Vose (five), Natalee Hotz (two), Grace Webber (four) and Sophie Daggett (18). 

Oceanside will next play on the road against Camden-Rockport on Friday, Dec. 7, while Medomak’s next contest will be Wednesday, Dec. 5 at on the road against Great Salt Bay. 

8th Grade Boys Basketball: Camden-Rockport 51, Boothbay 36

In Rockport, Camden-Rockport trailed 17-6 after the opening period, but held a 27-26 advantage at the half. 

Scoring for Camden-Rockport were Owen Perez (14 points), Quincy Messer (13) and Cameron Brown (11). 

Scoring for Boothbay were Kayden Ames (18 points) and Griffin Kristan (six). 

Camden-Rockport will host Troy Howard in its next game on Wednesday, Dec. 5. 

7th Grade Boys Basketball: Oceanside 66, Medomak 35

In Waldoboro, Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 25-3, 45-13 and 55-26. 

Scoring for Oceanside were Cohen Galley (21 points), Landyn Benner (11), Carter Galley (eight), Larry Robbins (seven), Hunter Shook (six), Ben Tripp (four), Joey Bell (four), Tagen McCallister (three) and Thompson (two).

Scoring for Medomak were Zan Nguyen (16 points), Aaron Reed (nine), Austin Costa (two), Nelson Weeks (two), Sam Moody (two), Finian Kelly (two), Slavick Moody (one) and Landon Tapley (one). 

Oceanside will next play on the road against Camden-Rockport on Friday, Dec. 7, while Medomak’s next contest will be Wednesday, Dec. 5 at on the road against Great Salt Bay. 

8th Grade Girls Basketball: Oceanside 58, Medomak 27

In Thomaston, Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 20-4, 35-15 and 45-19. 

Scoring for Medomak were Quinn Overlock (10 points), Madi Simmons (nine), Addison McCormick (two), Emily Prock (three), Chelsea Sykes (one) and Trishelle Ames (two). 

Scoring for Oceanside were A. Mackie (20 points), A. Hersey (two), A. Waterman (22), G. van Buskire (four), B. Stasulis (two), S. Hansen (seven) and M. Smith (one). 

Oceanside will next play host to Camden-Rockport on Friday, Dec. 7, while Medomak’s next contest will be Wednesday, Dec. 5 at home against Great Salt Bay.
