CUSHING — Join Cushing Historical Society on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m., for Wabanaki Life on the St. George River Prior to 1605, presented by David Rockwell

Drawing from archaeological and linguistic studies, as well Rosier’s account of the initial encounter between the English and original residents of the Cushing area, the presentation will focus on Native life prior to the 1604 arrival of George Waymouth.

The presentation will include photographs of several sites and artifacts from Cushing.
